Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
We are a publication that believes in transparency — about ingredients, materials, and yes, about how we handle your personal information. This policy tells you exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Who we are

Why we collect it & what we do with it
- Email address (newsletter) — to send you our editorial content, brand features, and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the site:
- Email marketing platform (Flodesk) — to manage and send our newsletter. Governed by their own privacy policy.
- Website hosting (Hostinger) — your data is processed on servers operated by Hostinger. They do not use it for their own purposes.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — anonymised browsing data is shared with Google. You can opt out via your browser settings or a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Affiliate networks — when you click an affiliate link, the receiving brand or network may place a tracking cookie on your device. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
All third-party service providers we use are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device. Here is what we use and why:
- Essential cookies — required for the website to function. Cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — help us understand visitor behaviour so we can improve content. You can decline these.
- Affiliate tracking cookies — placed by affiliate networks when you click a product link. These allow us to be credited for referrals.
- Preference cookies — remember your cookie consent choice so we don’t ask you every visit.
When you first visit our site you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You can accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences at any time.

- Newsletter subscribers — for as long as you remain subscribed, plus 30 days after unsubscribing to process the removal
- Contact/enquiry form submissions — up to 12 months, or until the matter is resolved
- Analytics data — 14 months (Google Analytics default retention period)
- Server logs — 90 days
