ShakeUp · Ingredient Rating Engine

For every Shake follower —
read what’s really inside.

Type or paste a product’s ingredient list, add its certifications, and ShakeUp scores it across four pillars using an evidence-tiered standard. So a follower on the shelf can choose between products with clarity, not guesswork.

“The body doesn’t process a single meal. It processes the accumulation of daily choices.”The dose makes the poison · Natural is not a synonym for safe · Transparency earns trust

What are we comparing today?

A follower can either type or paste the ingredients, or start typing an ingredient below and pick from the suggestions.

Start typing — no need to spell the long INCI names. Pick from the list and it will be added.

Separate with commas, semicolons or new lines. Ingredient order usually reflects concentration — earliest = most.

Optional — dose is captured for the record; it’s not scored yet, but it will feed future safety-threshold checks in the ShakeUp app.

None selected

Only third-party audited certifications Shake recognises are listed here — weighted by the trust levels in our Label Decoder. Tick every one this product actually carries.

What this is: a form to teach ShakeUp about a single ingredient it doesn’t yet recognise — a preservative, a dye, a cookware coating, a textile finish. It joins the same evidence-tiered database, so next time any follower scans a product containing it, ShakeUp will catch it.

What this is NOT: a way to score a whole product — that’s what the panel at the top of this page does. Use this only when you’ve spotted an ingredient we’ve missed.

The fourth pillar

On Frequency

In the ShakeUp score, Frequency measures how minimal, whole and intentional a formulation is — the fewer synthetic additions, the higher it scores. But in the wider Shake worldview, Frequency also carries a deeper meaning worth remembering.

The evidence for sound & vibration

Independent Cochrane reviews — the gold standard for medical evidence — have found that music-based interventions genuinely reduce anxiety, ease pain, and support emotional wellbeing, including in people living with cancer and depression.

Sound and vibration are among the oldest healing tools we have. Modern science is only beginning to catch up to what our ancestors already knew.

Why linen sits highest for the body

Wellness folklore assigns Hz values to fabrics; Shake rates linen highest for a simpler, evidence-backed reason: it’s naturally antibacterial, moisture-wicking, hypoallergenic and temperature-regulating, and it uses a fraction of the water and pesticides cotton does.

Linen has been worn against the human body for over 6,000 years. Longevity like that is its own kind of evidence.

Whole-food vs synthetic

The whole-food matrix — the fibre, cofactors and phytonutrients that ride along with a nutrient in nature — is the real advantage. Some forms genuinely differ (natural vitamin E is roughly twice as bioavailable as synthetic), while others are chemically identical.

Frequency rewards the whole, and the well-made form. Never blanket-shames the synthetic.

Homeopathy & the wider landscape

Shake respects the many traditions of healing that speak to vibration — homeopathy, sound therapy, singing bowls, breathwork. We hold space for these without staking the ShakeUp standard on evidence that is still emerging or contested.

Frequency the pillar is what the science can measure. Frequency the way of living is what a follower knows.

“Every follower carries a sixth sense the modern world has taught us to hush. The pause before a purchase. The quiet no in the body. ShakeUp hands you the evidence — you bring the knowing.”

Awareness · Intuition · Choice

ShakeUp scores by evidence tier, exposure route, who’s using a product, and how often — never by fear. People & Gaia are ingredient-driven; Animals reflects cruelty-free sourcing and aquatic harm; Frequency reflects how minimal and natural the formulation is. Certifications add to the score — but no cert can lift a product carrying a Tier 1 concern above “Worth a Pause.” This is guidance for conscious choices, not medical advice.
