Questions
Frequently asked questions.
How long does a reply take?
Two to three business days. Brand applications take up to seven, because each one is researched before we respond.
How do I suggest a brand?
Select “Suggest a brand” and include its name and website. We research every suggestion. Brands that meet our standards are scored and published.
I’m a brand. What happens after I contact you?
Every brand is scored. We assess your product independently across People, Animals, Gaia and Frequency, send you the full report, and you decide whether to join. We encourage it: membership lets readers see your products properly, carries the evidence a label has no room for, and puts you in front of people already looking for what you make. Can a brand pay for a better score?
No. Every brand on Shake is researched and scored independently. Membership affects how a brand is presented, never its score or its ranking.
What is the Shake Tribe?
Our newsletter: newly scored brands, ingredient investigations and research updates. Subscribe from any page footer.
Are affiliate links disclosed?
Yes. Some links earn Shake a commission at no cost to you. Commissions never affect a score, and every page discloses them. Affiliate disclosure →
